From one idea to a growing movement

June, 2026 | Expanding Our Reach
Today, Chapters of Change serves approximately 2,000 children each week through its mobile library and has expanded its reach with 2 static libraries. Through the generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, thousands of books and school supplies have made their way into the hands of children in underserved areas of the Philippines.

March 2025 | Expanding Our Reach
Following the pilot program, Chapters of Change evaluated what we learned and made adjustments to improve the mobile library experience and reach even more children. We expanded our regular route by adding six additional schools, bringing the total to nine schools served. As a result, the mobile library was now reaching more than 1,500 children each week, nearly doubling our impact in just a few months!

October, 2024 | Building for the Future
Chapters of Change launched its first pilot program with three local schools—Lugait Elementary School, Punta Silum Integrated School, and Linangkayan Elementary School—establishing them as part of the mobile library’s regular route. Through this initial school-based program, approximately 800 students each week gained access to the mobile library, giving children the opportunity to discover new books, develop their love of reading, and strengthen their literacy skills. This pilot program marked an important step in expanding the reach and impact of Chapters of Change.

July, 2024 | The Mobile Library Launches!
Chapters of Change officially launched its mobile library! The celebration began with a blessing ceremony for the truck, followed by stocking the mobile library with books and educational resources. Arianna and the Chapters of Change team then visited a couple of local communities to introduce the mobile library and bring books directly to the children it was created to serve. Arianna’s vision was officially on the road!

May, 2024 | A Mobile Library Becomes a Reality
After months of fundraising and hard work, Arianna’s vision finally became a reality. Chapters of Change purchased its first truck, which would be transformed into a mobile library, bringing books directly to children in remote and underserved communities in the Philippines.

May, 2024 | Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation
Arianna met with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation Chief Operating Officer, Jose Calvillo.  She spoke passionately about Chapters of Change, its mission and its vision.  As a result of the meeting, we are thrilled to be invited to partner with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation network!

February, 2024 | Books Across the Ocean
Nine large balikbayan boxes were shipped by boat to the Philippines, filled with books for children from elementary through high school, along with school supplies.

January, 2024 | A Community Comes Together
Chapters of Change organized a tennis tournament to raise funds for a mobile library truck. Nearly 60 players participated, with support from individual and corporate sponsors, donations, and a silent auction. The event raised almost $5,000 toward making the mobile library a reality.

2023 | Where It All Began
After conducting extensive research, 14-year-old Arianna created Chapters of Change with a vision of bringing books and educational resources to children in underserved communities. She took the initiative to establish the organization from the ground up, registering it as a federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit, writing the bylaws, and creating a Board of Directors.

And this is only the beginning...

What started as one teenager's idea has grown into an organization impacting thousands of children. Every book delivered, every library opened, and every child reached is another chapter in the story of change.
